“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). In the original Greek, this verse is a strong call to raise and form children into mature, well-rounded individuals—physically, morally, intellectually, and culturally—in the Lord. I believe this formation happens primarily in 3 primary avenues; the home through family worship, in the local church, and through faithful Christian education.

As a board member and biology teacher at Franklin Christian School, I am excited to partner with families in this vital work. We are committed to providing rigorous academics grounded in a robust biblical worldview, equipping students to see God’s glory in every subject.

My wife Becca and I have educated our 4 children through a combination of homeschooling, private Christian school, and public school. These varied experiences have only deepened my conviction that high-quality, Christ-centered education is one of the most important ways we can disciple our sons and daughters.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. While serving as a training manager in adult education for five years, I discovered the joy of teaching. My PA training and the past ten years of practicing medicine has given me a profound appreciation for the intricate beauty and order of God’s creation in biology and the sciences. I am continually amazed by the complexity of the human body and the natural world, and I look forward to helping students discover that same wonder in the classroom.

In addition to my professional background, I have been privileged to serve in leadership roles within the Christian community. I led a campus ministry at the University of Missouri, served as class president in PA school, and have spent nearly a decade in church leadership. Our family currently attends Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Franklin.

It is an honor to help build Franklin Christian School as a place where academic excellence, spiritual formation, and godly character development go hand in hand. My prayer is that our students will grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).

Litchfield Christian School has been such a beautiful blessing to our family. LCS is a Christ-centered school that challenges students academically, nurtures their creativity, promotes a positive learning environment, and contributes to their spiritual growth. LCS is very supportive, and they encourage their students and their families. Our daughter came into LCS completely broken and empty. Public school had taken a drastic toll on her mental health. She had pleaded with us for over a year to homeschool her. We were at a loss. Our daughter is a very social person, and we knew she needed more. We decided to check out LCS as an alternative. From the very moment we stepped inside LCS, we could see and feel the genuine love. EVERYONE felt as if they belonged. Before our day of observing was over, she had asked if she could please come to LCS. She was smiling and said this place is my kind of place. It's definitely been just that!

Today she is thriving, and she is truly enjoying herself. She loves to go to school, and she loves all of the teachers. She has made good friends and is blossoming in all areas of life. She's even started singing on stage during chapel. This has been the best decision we could have ever made as parents for our daughter. We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity in our hometown, and we truly appreciate that LCS offers grades K-12. How blessed we are to be a part of Litchfield Christian School. We look forward to many more amazing years here.
