My name is Cadon Fouts. I have been married for fourteen years to Erika Fouts and we have four children. I have been in the gospel ministry most of my adult life in one form or another. I have served the local church as a youth pastor, elder, and an associate pastor. I am currently serving as the Associate Pastor of Longview Baptist Church.
I have been blessed in my life to receive a wonderful education from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, The College at Southeastern and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I hold a M.A. in Theological Studies.
I am excited about the opportunity to teach the Bible to our students. The Bible is an amazing book. It’s filled with villains and heroes, love and betrayal, high speed camel chases and so much more. It’s not however, a book about long ago and far way, but about here and now and you and me. It reveals to us who we are and how we ought to live in the world God created. More than that, it reveals to us who God is. The most important thing in our lives is that we come to know God. King Solomon told his son in the book of Proverbs, “If you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.” It is my desire to equip our students to mine the Scriptures for themselves so that they might come to know God.
