I grew up in England, where my love for soccer began. That passion led me to the United States after I was recruited to play collegiate soccer on a full athletic scholarship at Jacksonville University. Looking back, I can clearly see God’s hand directing my path and calling me into a lifetime of teaching, coaching, and serving young people.
For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of teaching and coaching students of all ages. Throughout my career, I have both taught and coached at the middle school, high school, and college level including serving as an instructor at Florida State University. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, a Master’s Degree in Education, and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) Degree in Educational Leadership.
My greatest passion is helping students discover that they are capable of far more than they believe. I strive to create a classroom where students are challenged academically, encouraged personally, and reminded that they are uniquely created by God with gifts and purpose. I believe true education develops not only the mind but also the heart, character, and faith.
As a coach, I have spent three decades using athletics to teach perseverance, discipline, servant leadership, and teamwork. Whether in the classroom or on the field, my goal is the same: to help young people pursue excellence while growing into the men and women God has called them to be.
My wife, Heather, and I have been married for 29 years, and we are blessed with five wonderful children. Serving together in Christian education is an incredible privilege, and I am honored to be part of Franklin Christian School. My prayer is that every student who walks through our doors will leave with a deeper faith, stronger character, a love of learning, and the confidence to use their God-given gifts to make a difference in the world.
