North Carolina has a scholarship option available for almost all families no matter your income level. The North Carolina Legislature has greatly increased the funding for private school choice, and we encourage all families to apply for the Opportunity Scholarship. The application is online, and only takes fifteen minutes to apply.
Go to k12.ncseaa.edu/opportunity-scholarship to apply.
Even if your family is in a high income tax bracket, each child is likely to get a minimum scholarship of $3,574 per year for 2026 and lower tier income families receive up to $7,942 per year.
The opening date to apply for scholarships for the following school year is February 1.
However, apply as soon as you are able even if it is late in the spring or summer. Scholarships may be awarded at any point in the year, and tuition paid may be refunded if a late award comes in. As North Carolina scholarship options have become more popular in recent years, applying for the programs as soon as possible is essential. Funding can be diminished as the programs operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
With available scholarships applied, a student can attend FCS full time from $100 to $450 a month. Please do not let cost discourage you from applying and having an education consultation with us. Part time enrollment for homeschool students may be an affordable and convenient option. Apply and come talk to us.
