About Karen Roush

Karen Roush

Marketing, Media and Events

My name is Karen Roush. I have been married to my husband, a retired Marine, for 19 years and am mom to four amazing children (three teen boys and a young daughter). Since moving to Franklin in 2017, I have spent the past eleven years homeschooling our children, investing in their academic and spiritual growth.

I graduated from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Computer Information Systems and a double major in Spanish. I began my career as a computer programmer before transitioning into graphic design, marketing, and communications. For seven years, I worked in marketing and design and served as Communications Director for a large multi-campus church in Charleston, South Carolina. During that time, I discovered my passion for using marketing, design, and event planning to connect people with ministry opportunities and help communicate a clear vision to the community.

As a Marine Corps wife, I moved around the country nine times over ten years while working from home through a freelance design business and raising our family. During that season, I also became a certified Health Coach through the Sears Wellness Institute and spent many years educating and encouraging others in natural wellness. I have a deep love for travel, short-term missions serving as a medical translator, and ministry. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy baking, and stewarding our 30-acre permaculture farm of fruit trees, flowers, and gardens.

I am honored to serve as the Marketing, Media and Events Director for Franklin Christian School. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to use my passion to help launch a school that partners with families to equip students to fulfill their God-given calling.
